Jeremy Mellor MRICS

Jeremy was educated at Longton High School before graduating from Stoke on Trent Technical College in 1989 and has 6 years’ experience working for Building Contractors and 35 years private practice experience, 23 years at Partner level. Jeremy joined Wood Goldstraw Yorath in 1999 and in 2001 was promoted to one of 5 equity Partners, then Senior Partner and acting Managing Partner. Jeremy is now a Director and heads the Practice’s Quantity Surveying team which covers all aspects of the profession including construction cost advice, project/contract management, life–cycle costing, construction claims consultancy and dispute resolution as well as BREEAM sustainability assessments and advice.

During his 35 years private practice experience he has completed projects in all sectors ranging from educational, commercial, residential, leisure and ecclesiastical. Jeremy’s professional services are, as one would expect, cost-led however he is a strong advocate of fairness and transparency which is not only evident in his administration of contractual matters but also in all aspects of his daily life. Jeremy is the Diocesan Surveyor for the Lichfield Diocese (Church of England) and a full member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
