Painsley Catholic College, Cheadle – Art Block

Appointment to create additional teaching accommodation comprising 7 classrooms in total which incorporated one textiles room, three general teaching rooms and two art studios complete with a fire evacuation lift to satisfy DDA.

In both the classrooms and the art studios particular attention has been paid to natural ventilation and acoustics to provide a high quality teaching environment. The art studios benefit from North facing roof mounted glazing to provide good natural light without glare or heat gain. The elevations have been designed to present a modern extension that complements the existing building façade.
