Edison Pace Independent SEN School conversion in Shelton handed over …….

We are pleased to anounce that our project to convert the former Deaf Institute in The Ellis Centre, and adjacent Chest Clinic in Wellesley House, Wellesley Street, Shelton, to create a new Independent SEN School for ‘Edison Young People’, was completed and handed over prior to the Chritsmas break.

The School makes excellent use of the segregation the two adjacent, formerly under-used buildings provide by locating the usual academic classroom accomodation in one building and the more specialist vocational activities in the other. The latter includes dedicated science labs, hairdressing and beauty facilities, construction trade workshops, an art and pottery studio, etc. as well as a a floodlit MUGA to the rear. The students have visited site during construction and have actively seen their new school evolve; the first cohort of students are expected to attend the facility straight after the Christmas break.
