St Dominic’s Priory School

This project replaced 14 classrooms, previously housed in mobile buildings, with a purpose built three storey teaching block. The scheme includes the provisions of science laboratories, drama studio, music room, art spaces and general teaching rooms along with associated facilities. The project is part of a wider re-organisation of the entire school site which rationalises recreation, teaching, pre-school and parking areas.

The canal-side site brought with it a number of challenges including a constrained site area, tight access, new mains services and its location within a conservation area adjacent to a listed building.
